Dear Lord, tonight I want to take Your command to rest seriously. I want to resist the temptation to strive and work tirelessly without stopping. You offer peace to those who pause and refreshment to those who remain still in Your blessing. Put my restless mind at ease tonight. As I surrender to the gentle embrace of slumber, remind me that no worldly accomplishment is worth sacrificing my peace in You. I do not want to gain the world at the cost of my soul. Anchor me in that truth tonight, and usher me into a peaceful sleep. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
