Psalm 84:4
Dear Good and Holy God, how lovely is Your dwelling place. My soul longs to rest inside Your presence. My heart yearns to be near the living God. As I lay my head to sleep tonight, give me a sense of what it truly means to be home. As the sparrow finds comfort in its nest, and the swallow finds peace in the trees, give me a sense of safety in You tonight. I want my strength and my satisfaction to be drawn from Your Spirit. There is nowhere else where I can truly feel at home. Blessed are those whose hearts are highways to Zion and those whose hearts will stop at nothing to be close to You. O Lord of hosts, hear my prayer and plea, make my home in Thee. I know You will not withhold goodness from me. As I sleep tonight, I pray for complete comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
