Psalm 78:23
Mighty God, You have always been and always will be faithful to Your people. To those whom You have chosen, grace and mercy will follow them. Providential provision and powerful protection will always be given to those You have called Your own. I want to rest in that certainty tonight, Lord. I want to relax knowing that You will never leave or forsake me. Just as You were faithful to the wandering nation of Israel in the wilderness, You will be loyal to me. Just as You provided for the disobedient children of Jacob, You will be kind to me even when I sin against You. As I seek to sleep, give me the certainty that Your grace never runs dry, nor do You withhold peace from those who honestly seek Your presence. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
