Psalm 74

Remember your congregation, which you purchased long ago, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

Psalm 74:2
Dear Lord, You are mighty, and Your power extends throughout the universe. The seas rage in response to Your voice. The mountains move at Your command. I pray that tonight, You would command my soul with the same authority and bring me proper rest. When my mind wants to wander, submit it to Your will. Thank You that I am not alone in defending myself against distractions and distress. You fight for me and respond to me when I call to You. You do not forget my weakness nor leave me to my own devices. You are gracious to me, God. You are good. Usher me into a beautiful place of quiet rest tonight, free from outside disturbances and intrusive thoughts. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
