Psalm 52

But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.

Psalm 52:8
Dear Lord, You are the bringer of peace and author of life. I want to be like an olive tree planted in Your garden. I want to be rooted in trust and gratitude to sprout from my branches. Plant my heart in You tonight, Lord. Settle me inside Your steadfast as I sink blissfully into slumber. Steady my breathing. As I inhale, may thankfulness fill my lungs. As I exhale, may praise pour out. With every rise and fall of my chest, may I be reminded of who sustains me. May I never forget that Your favor keeps me breathing, and Your grace keeps my heart beating. You work against the plans of prideful people, but fruitfulness abounds for those who humbly plant themselves in Your presence. Plant me in You tonight, Jesus. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
