Psalm 46:1
Oh Lord, I tonight I want to be still… I want to calm myself and consider Your character. I want to cease my striving and see where You are moving. I want to steady my breathing and behold Your glory. I want to be still and know for certain that You are my God. As I drift to sleep, remind my heart that it can rest in You. I am not the hero. I am not the leader. I am not the one who needs to carry the world's worries on my shoulders. You are! You are the deliverer, redeemer, friend, and hero I could never be. Be exalted in my life, Lord Jesus. Tonight I sleep with the assurance that You are sufficient. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
