Psalm 34:8
Lord, I have known hunger of the soul - a yearning for truth and satisfaction. I have sought other sources to satiate my hunger but have found them all lacking. But when I cried to You, You satisfied me. When I needed strength, You answered my prayer. I have yearned for satisfaction and tasted Your goodness. When I seek You, I discover more and more a never-ending peace that surpasses understanding and love. No one who seeks You will be left in the dark. Empower me to point others to You as the ultimate source of satisfaction, safety, and serenity. As I sleep, remind me of all these things. As I drift away, reiterate to my soul the source of satisfaction. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
