Psalm 140:1
Dear God, as I prepare to lay my head down to rest, I first want to thank You for Your justice. Your righteousness extends to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds. Throughout my day, You have been my rock and shield; I am forever grateful for that. However, I come before You tonight with a heavy heart. Intrusive thoughts have plagued my mind for too long, causing distress and unease. Though I try to fend them off, I know I cannot do it alone. Please help me, Lord, to find peace and rest. Take these thoughts from me, and replace them with gentle reminders of Your love and grace. I ask that You extend a helping hand to those in need. May they find refuge in Your loving arms and rest for their weary souls. I imagine Your warm embrace holding me close, soothing my anxiety and calming my fears. Thank You for Your love and Your mercy. May it continue to guide me through another day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
