Heavenly Father, I come before You exhausted, my eyes heavy with fatigue. I ask that You grant me rest, sweet release from my labors. As the Israelites of old were delivered from their slavery in Egypt, I ask that You deliver me from the bondage of wakeful nights. Just as they were led through the wilderness, sustained by Your hand, I ask that You guide me through my tiredness and refresh my soul. Please help me cast off the burden of my worries and release my anxieties to You. Let me lie down without fear and awake with Your peace in my heart. Grant me the peace that comes from faith, knowing that You are in control and working all things together for my good. Let me rest in Your loving kindness, and find comfort in Your strength. I pray this in Your name, through Christ who gives me strength. Amen.
